STOP THE BLEED® continues to be on the move with California the latest state to adopt STOP THE BLEED® legislation. Governor Gavin Newsome signed legislation, yesterday, September 27, 2022 requiring that schools AND businesses equip themselves to be ready for a bleeding emergency. On that day, California bill #AB2260 became Chapter 586 of California’s Civil Code and was added to Chapter 4 of the state’s Health and Safety Code. Click here to read the new law in its entirety.
What does this mean? For starters, it means that the two most populous states in the country have enacted STOP THE BLEED® legislation (Texas is the other one). For California schools, businesses and residents, it’s a call to action to become prepared to handle a bleeding emergency.
