US Department of Defense list of STOP THE BLEED® Educational Licensees

The US Department of Defense (“DoD”) STOP THE BLEED® program is a public health campaign designed to train and equip private citizens to be able to save the lives of people who have suffered a traumatic injury involving severe blood loss. DoD issues STOP THE BLEED® Educational Licenses to qualified organizations that agree to teach DoD approved bleeding control techniques.

Most organizations listed offer DoD approved bleeding control training to the public.

This official DoD STOP THE BLEED® Educational License list is maintained by the Stop the Bleed Coalition pursuant to a contract with the Department of Defense. This list is updated periodically.

We will announce when an updated list is published.

Organizations interested in offering STOP THE BLEED® classes can apply for a DoD Educational License by visiting this page. Approved organizations gain access to free training materials and other tools and resources provided by the Stop the Bleed Coalition.

The STOP THE BLEED® Program is U.S. Government initiative that is administered by the Department of Defense. The Program is based on the lessons learned by the military in Afghanistan and Iraq on the best ways to treat traumatic injuries involving severe blood loss.
