The goal of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) STOP THE BLEED® Program is to train and equip the public to control severe bleeding until the first responders arrive. The instructors are the single most important element in achieving this goal. DoD is grateful to these dedicated individuals who are empowering their communities to be able to act in a traumatic bleeding emergency.

In its effort to support the DoD STOP THE BLEED® Program, the Stop the Bleed Coalition (Coalition) is seeking qualified instructors to teach its new, DoD approved, STOP THE BLEED® course. This course combines clinical training with valuable information about available STOP THE BLEED® resources for individuals, organizations and communities.
Once approved, instructors will have access to a wide variety of training tools and resources, including the new STOP THE BLEED® course, DoD approved training certificates, community engagement tools and more. There is no cost to apply to become an instructor and the tools and resources available to instructors are free.

The application is designed for use by individuals that want to teach the new U.S. Department of Defense approved STOP THE BLEED® course (“The Essentials of STOP THE BLEED®”, which has been developed by the Coalition). Certified instructors will enter into a sublicense agreement with the Coalition. These sublicenses are intended for individuals that wish to provide in-person bleeding control classes at minimal or no cost to the student.
