The goal of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) STOP THE BLEED® Program is to train and equip the public to control severe bleeding until the first responders arrive. The instructors are the single most important element in achieving this goal. DoD is grateful to these dedicated individuals who are empowering their communities to be able to act in a traumatic bleeding emergency.
The application is designed for use by individuals that want to teach the new U.S. Department of Defense approved STOP THE BLEED® course (“The Essentials of STOP THE BLEED®”, which has been developed by the Coalition). Certified instructors will enter into a sublicense agreement with the Coalition. These sublicenses are intended for individuals that wish to provide in-person bleeding control classes at minimal or no cost to the student. If a fee is charged, the fee can only be used to cover the costs incurred by the instructor in offering the course and must be approved in advance by the Coalition.
Currently accepting applications for instructors only in the United States and Canada
