The STOP THE BLEED® Project is a public/private partnership led by the DoD and many other stakeholders designed to develop programs that will create more awareness of the STOP THE BLEED® campaign and encourage the public to participate in the campaign by becoming STOP THE BLEED® trained and equipped and engaging others to do so. There are currently active STOP THE BLEED® training programs in every U.S. state and territory and in 114 countries.

The STOP THE BLEED® campaign is administered by the Defense Health Agency and the Combat Casualty Care Research Program. All uses of the STOP THE BLEED® name and logo are licensed to ensure that all bleeding control training programs and all products that display the STB logo meet DoD quality standards.

The Coalition is a proud supporter of the STOP THE BLEED® project, providing financial and other resources to the programs described below.

STOP THE BLEED® Grant Program

With a goal of training 200 million people to STOP THE BLEED® , it’s critical to ensure that as many groups as possible have the ability to train with the proper training equipment. This year’s program has expanded to include grants for both training kits and a variety of other DoD licensed STOP THE BLEED® equipment. These grants are valued from $1,000 to $100,000.

STOP THE BLEED® Scholarship Program

The Coalition has provided funding for this hugely successful program, which offers scholarship opportunities each spring to high school students in the United States. Scholarships consist of a monetary award to the student and  STOP THE BLEED® kits to the schools they attend.

STOP THE BLEED® Trainathon

The Trainathon is a month-long call to action for the public to take an approved STOP THE BLEED® training course during May 2024, National STOP THE BLEED® Month.

Approved STOP THE BLEED® instructors can register classes they plan to teach on the STOP THE BLEED® Training Platform so people can sign up and take their class.
