The NEW STOP THE BLEED® Instructor licensing program continues to grow fast! We’re also getting lots of questions from people interested in becoming instructors and wanted to use this post to cover some of the common questions?
What credentials do I have to meet?
If you are a healthcare professional – you are in! If you are a non-healthcare professional, you qualify if you are a certified instructor of related material (the application form has a full list of healthcare and instructor credentials).
What if I have not taken a STOP THE BLEED® Class yet? Can I still apply?
Absolutely! One of the criteria needed to become an instructor is to have taken an STOP THE BLEED® class that includes hands-on training. One way to meet that is to watch the Essentials of STOP THE BLEED® video (about 17 minutes long) and to attend a Essentials of STOP THE BLEED® Zoom class taught by a qualified instructor. You’ll be asked to demonstrate your hands-on skills via the zoom meeting with a proctor. This is a new program that will be available in the next few weeks.
