- How many students can an instructor teach in a class?
For a one hour class, we recommend no more than 8 to 10 students per instructor, so that an instructor can review each person’s hands-on skills. This number can be increased if the class is longer than one hour.
- What do I need to demonstrate that I am a licensed STOP THE BLEED® instructor?
The email stating you have been approved is proof of your status as an instructor. The instructor portal has a STOP THE BLEED® instructor certificate you can fill out and download.
- How can I get an instructor card?
We do not offer instructor cards. Individuals who have been issued a STOP THE BLEED® Instructor License can download an Instructor Certificate from the STOP THE BLEED® Instructor Portal.
- Is there a minimum number of classes an instructor must teach to maintain their license?
There is no required minimum number of classes per year. However, if you have not taught any classes during your three year license period, your license will not be renewed, unless there are special circumstances.
- How long is my STOP THE BLEED® Instructor License valid?
STOP THE BLEED® Instructor licenses are valid for three years from the date of application.
- How do I access my instructor account?
1) Visit stopthebleedcoalition.org/login/ and log in 2) Select “Training Program” in the top menu 3) Select “Instructor Portal” in the dropdown menu. Note: this option will not appear in the menu until after you are logged in.
- The link I received to register my instructor account does not work, i.e., I am getting an error message. What should I do?
In most cases, the fix is to close and reopen your browser or to clear your cache. If those suggestions don’t work, try a different device. Please ensure you are entering information by typing it in rather than copying and pasting. If none of these work, send an email to: community@stopthebleedcoalition.org to let us know.
- Can I use the same email address for my instructor account as the one I use for our organization’s Educational Licensee account?
Our system is set up so that you need to use different email addresses to access the Instructor Portal and the Educational Licensee Portal.
- I filed my quarterly report but I keep getting reminders to file – do I have to file again?
We send general reminders to all licensees about the quarterly reports. If you have filed your quarterly report and received a reminder after it, you do not need to file it again.
